There is something beneath the effort. Beneath the pushing, beneath the trying to hold it all together. A ground that does not depend on your capacity to manage life — that is simply here, whether you notice it or not.
Most people have felt it in rare moments. A sudden absence of strain. Not relaxation — something more fundamental. The sense that you are supported by something you did not create and cannot lose.
The Work
The White Latifa is the quality of essential will — not the will of effort and determination, but the will that is simply the presence of inner support. It is what allows a person to stand in their own life without constantly propping themselves up.
When this quality is lost — and for most of us it was lost very early — the personality steps in to compensate. It creates a false will: pushing, striving, performing, holding on. The inner experience is one of relentless effort, as if everything depends on you and nothing will hold unless you make it hold.
This retreat works directly with that structure. Where the support was lost, what replaced it, and what it costs a person to live as if the ground might disappear at any moment. The territory includes performance anxiety, the need to be strong, the inability to rest — not as problems to fix but as doors back to what was originally there.
When the false will softens, something unexpected emerges. Not passivity — a deeper kind of strength. A confidence that does not need to prove itself.
The Format
This is a residential retreat. When you step out of ordinary life for several days, something becomes available that isn't available otherwise. The usual supports fall away. What remains is closer to what is actually true.
Each day includes teaching and guided self-inquiry. The teaching is precise — it maps the territory of the White Latifa, its obstructions, its movement. But this is not a seminar. The Logos — the teaching itself — carries a direct transmission. Something in the words, when received in the right conditions, does not merely inform. It activates.
Self-inquiry then works with what has been activated. The understanding that emerges is not added to what you already know. It moves through you differently.
Who This Is For
This retreat is for people who have done inner work and want to go deeper. Prior experience with meditation, inquiry, or psychological work is expected. You need to be willing to look honestly at yourself — at where you push, where you compensate, and what you have been afraid to let go of.
This is not an introduction to the work.

Emilio Mercuriali has been teaching in the Diamond Logos lineage for over 25 years. His work integrates the direct investigation of essential nature with a precise psychological understanding of the structures that obscure it. He is an authorized teacher of the Diamond Logos teachings of Faisal Muqaddam, and teaches internationally in Italy, Japan, and online.
